要買就快D手,無謂後悔

sold out not = stop production

sold out always = stop production, then price hike.  Esp., for the big boats in PotC, because production is very few for 4184.

10211 is sold out too few months ago

o really?  10211 is not sold out but temporarily out of stock, and you can still place order.

anyway, no point of arguing.  see if you can find the 4184 and 4195 in lego.com, and you will know what I mean.  If it's sold out, you can't place order or anything.  you can go to lego.com in US or Europe, and I bet you won't be able to find 4184 or 4195.

If you aren't a fan of PotC, that's okay.  I think alexyiu 大大 is just being nice and informative here.  You know it could be frustrating sometimes to make a late decision to buy some sets and then realize the set has been discontinued and it would cost you a fortune to get that set when you want it at a later time.  I bet many users in this forum can relate to that experience.

And you wonder, why didn't I get it earlier when the price is reasonable?  At this point you don't think it's  worthwhile to pay an inflated price for a bunch of plastic, therefore you might come back to the forum to complain/b!tch about it.  Then pretty much some/many users in this forum would echo/complain about not getting the sets they want when they are available - it becomes a vicious cycle and this defeats the purpose of this forum, which is to promote the creativity of lego building and fostering of that experience.

try to seach "10210" then you will know the true meaning of stop production

lego is helping wholesalers as well as themselves by simply two words "Sold Out"

I know what seedorfz mean, but I'm sure PotC sets will be retired end of this year.
Also Harry Potter and Toy Story Series will be gone soon.

there's no point in arguing.  go look up those numbers (4184, 4195, 10217) in lego.com US and Europe.
Don't think you can find them.  Thanks.

Chill man.

yes, you can still get 100 pcs of 10217 from US lego.com. However if you are in Europe, you can no longer get it.  Same with 4184 and 4195.  They are no longer available.  Period.  Gone.  Punto.

Get back to the point, the term "sold out" could mean temporarily out of stock, but most of the time it means really no longer in production.

I thought about what you have posted, maybe you could say, "sold out not necessary = stop production" .  That makes more sense.  Because 90% of the time, "sold out" means out of production in lego language.

And please not everyone is a kid here.  I think most users here are kid-ults.  Stop being condescending just because somone's view point is different from you.  Thank you.
